Believe it or not, homework gives students bad health. In 2013, research that was conducted at Stanford University found that students in high-achieving communities who spend too much time on homework experience more stress, physical or mental health problems such as ulcers, migraines, sleep deprivation, depression and weight loss, a lack of balance in their lives such as not enough sleep, food, or hydration and they become isolated from society. (citation) It’s like homework makes you suffer from not being able to do what you want to do because in your mind tells you that you have to get it done before anything else. Homework decreases the time spent with family. They have already been at the school for almost half of their day then they have to come home, do another 2-6 hours of homework depending on how much they have, and go to bed early just to go to back school again. It’s cycle of students’ life. It’s wrong. Secondly, it reduces the amount of time that children could be spending with their families. Family time is especially important to a growing child and without it, social problems can crop up and a family unit can be compromised by a lack of time being spent
