Wicked As She Wants (Blud Book #2) by Delilah S. Dawson
I still don’t know how I feel about this world in general. It sounds like Hell and honestly would make me think twice about not signing a will that said if I’m in a coma let me die. There’s nothing that makes me want to live in it for very long, which makes reading books set in this world hard.
Dawson decided to rework the story of the doomed Anastasia and her family, and does a good job merging the familiar with her world. Although I do find that at the end they got around Freesia a little too easily, but where there’s a little money and the will you can find the way. I wish we could’ve stayed on the flying brothel a little longer since it was the most interesting place

    There are many themes present in Something Wicked This Way Comes that surround Mr. Cooger. The primary one is the Knowledge of Good and Evil concerning the carousel and its powers as well as the theme of Karma/ What Goes Around Comes Around. Mr. Cooger is aware of the evil nature of the carousel since he is the one that uses it most. Mr. Cooger plays up the carousel as something that will make life better and is capable of making their deepest desires come true. He knows it is evil, but Jim does not so he tries to convince him into riding it. At one point he “stretched out pink fingers urging softly: … Jim…?” (Bradbury73) Jim, not knowing the evil nature of the carousel “Twitched one foot forward” (Bradbury73) about to jump on it. Had it not been for Will, who had better knowledge of the carousel, stopping him Jim would have ended much older.     As the main motivator to Macbeth’s actions, Lady Macbeth is a character whose ambition and greed lead her and her husband to their inevitable fate of death. Lady Macbeth’s relentlessness, as well as her longing for power generate an emotion of pain and suffering. After hearing the prophecies of her husband, Lady Macbeth is intent on making her husband King of Scotland, as she will not let anything get in her way; even if she needs to resort to murder. After Macbeth’s murder of King Duncan, she is fearful that his loyalty and consciousness will overcome their “priorities”; however, as the play progresses, we are able to see that ironically, it is her that slowly becomes insane for she is being consumed by guilt and fear. This is distinctly apparent as Lady Macbeth sleepwalks and perpetually attempts to wash the blood aka the guilt of killing King Duncan, off her hands. In this quote from Act 5 Scene 1, Lady Macbeth states, “Out, damned spot! Out, I say!—One, two. Why, then, ’tis time to do ’t. Hell is murky!— … —What, will these hands ne'er be clean?—No more o' that, my lord, no more o' that…,” we can perceive that she is near lunacy as she can no longer comprehend her actions and what she can do to eradicate the constant sense of guilt.…
