William Cutting, a man of patriotism and honor started out as a mere orphan after his father died fighting in the war of 1812. Due to his father dying at the hand of a British Man, an outside, it gave him immense hatred to trespassers. He honestly believed the America owned by the U.S is the land of the free, the land for those who ruled.
Despite all these new-found beliefs, the country and its people didn’t treat him kindly. He was set back even more so for being some native which other citizens rated as the lowest of class. William was a brawler, he had to beat his way to eat, sleep and keep his spirit alive. One night, during a play retelling the war of 1812, Bill the Butcher was shot dead in the middle of the crowd applauding. William was distraught and furious for an answer. He slaughtered any opposing gang member he could find and hung them on the streets in pieces. After falling back to a brothel, these men boasted over his sorrows. Overhearing this, Cutting beat them to a pulp and tortured them to only find out that the Bowe Brothers themselves set him up. Taking it to the brothers at face value, they told him it was complete nonsense accusations. William couldn’t control himself, so he asked them this, “by the heritage I reside from, will you stop bullshitting me and tell me the damn truth yourselves”. The brothers took a cheap shot using throwing knives but Cutting dodge. William took a knife and returned the favor to one of the brothers. The other rushed him in anger with a knife shoving William into the wall, slow scraping his eye in. Mr. Cutting with his bare hands grabbed the last brother’s eyes, ripped them out and beheaded him with his own knife. The gang members were in awe of the very scene of this battle. Then and there, Cutting declared “If anyone shall oppose me now, I swear under the soil we stand I’ll parade the streets with your entrails.
