The sun was high on the sky and soldier were waiting on each sides of the field. English in full armor, heavy cavalry with lances, archers with long bows and infantry with nice steel sword. On other side there were Scots in kilts and no armor at all. Their cavalry ran away and their weapons were mostly farming tools. With this set up there were no doubt that Scots wanted to give up but then mighty William Wallace came and had a great speech about freedom and fight begin. Three shots of arrows were fired and many Scots died but they stood still and the kept making fun of English until they send a cavalry but that didn’t surprise the Scots. They used the spears made of wood to stop the horses. And by the time, when the English send the infantry, the scottish cavalry came back and attacked the English from behind. Scots won the battle and William became a knight. In my opinion this isn’t better way to fight at all, It is much more violent, people die in terrible pain and usually nothing were solved by it.
For them freedom means mostly to be ruled by their own people and be able to farm and live in peace. That is not very much but they didn’t live in very much of freedom. Not that we are. Because total freedom basicly means anarchy. For me, freedom is that in one point in life I can say and do whatever I want but there always be some rules to
