Sarah Winchester was the owner of the Winchester Mystery House. Her husband, William Winchester, was the maker of the Winchester Rifle. They were very wealthy and achieved. Sarah had a very nice childhood and went to private schools. She learned to speak four languages and played piano beautifully. William married Sarah in 1862. They had a daughter together and owned a very nice house.

In 1884, she hired 22 construction workers that worked 24 hours a day, every day. She hired servants, cooks, and people to keep watch of the house.
