The painting that I chose to write about is Francois Boucher’s Venus at Vulcan’s Forge. This painting is a collection of four paintings completed for Jean-Francois Bergeret de Frouville. Boucher painted this particular painting in 1769. In the painting Venus is seen presenting her mortal son Aeneas and she wants Vulcan to make a sword for her son. The center of the painting is Venus floating on a cloud with Aeneas while Vulcan is off to the side to the left. Behind Vulcan to the left you can see the tools that Vulcan used to make the armor. On the bottom of the painting below Venus you can see an attendant bringing the helmet and clothes for Vulcan to give…
The Divine Wind by Garry Disher is a historical romance that deals with issues -- Hart with the people around hart and some series of things happen to them. Their story takes place before and after the war, during a lot of things were happening: the protagonists grew up together with their relatives, many people came and went, and some are forever leave them. The relation between friendship and love are two of the main themes. Another theme is young people forced to grow up quickly.…
The Venus Factor is a diet and fitness system created especially for women. The program takes a revolutionary approach to weight loss for women in its potential for transforming the female body. This program is creating a buzz of excitement world-wide because it works.…
Johannes Kepler is a well renowned scientist, who is well known for his discovery of the laws that define the movement of the planets in the universe. With well defined studied and researches, Kepler has defined three main laws defining the planetary motion. These laws give a clear overview of the way things move around and are used by the engineers for the development of all related equipment, devices and even the study of the planets. We would hence discuss these laws briefly for understanding his stand on these motions.…
Florentine Renaissance era some of his more famous works are “Primavera” and “The Birth of Venus.”. He was born 1445 Florence, Italy- died May 17, 1510, Florence, Italy.May 17, 1510, Florence, Italy. I have chosen “ the discovery of the body of Holofernes” for it has a dark but comical feel when I look at the painting. Like the characters overemphasize expressions on their faces, but the colors are what really brought me in and had me mesmerized.…
Abstract-At transonic speeds an aerofoil will have flow accelerate onwards from the leading edge to sonic speeds and produce a shockwave over the surface of its body. One factor that determines the shockwave location is the flow speed. However, the shape of an aerofoil also has an influence. The experiment conducted compared Mach flow over a supercritical aerofoil (flattened upper surface) and a naca0012 aerofoil (symmetrical). Despite discrepancies, the experiment confirmed the aerodynamic performance of a supercritical aerofoil being superior to a conventional aerofoil. A comparison of the graphical distributions demonstrates the more even pressure distribution on a supercritical aerofoil and a longer delay in shockwave formation. All of which, reflects the theory.…

Since The Birth of Venus is a two dimensional painting the illusion of depth is implied. The winged couple, Venus, the shell, and the woman representing Spring all overlap the water, sky, and land. The land and trees in the background are diminished in size showing a great depth. All of the feet of the figures are vertically placed the bottom of the picture and raise up to appear closer. The atmostpheric prospective was shown by the changing in blue colors of the horizon line in the background. Also, by the light blue and soft white creates the illusion of clouds in the distant.…

Florence, Italy. He left Florence in 1480 to help decorate the Sistine Chapel in Rome with some of his art which only the most famous painters of that time were invited to do. In 1482, Botticelli returned to Florence and shortly after painted the Birth of Venus (Angelis, 4).…
Air masses is every where around us, it creates pressure around our body and keeps us from floating. Air mass is the pressure in the gravity that also has to the temperature in the atmosphere to create different pressure that effects you in different ways. For example, if hot air were to fill a plastic bag it would rise, but if it where cool air that filled the bag it would be less likely to rise than the other. Fronts, on another hand, are produced when a large amount of cool winds go east and a front of hot air would go west and hit they will create an enormous storm that is most likely to bring heavy showers and thunderstorms. Fronts also have to do with the pressure that is in the atmosphere. Advection is when a large amount of warm moist air current of that goes over a cold body of water of land.…
The Birth of Venus is a painting familiar especially to those who know about mythology. Sandro Botticelli wanted to show the birth of venus one of the Greek gods in his own point of view. He demonstrates this by how he painted Venus and whom he painted in the drawing with Venus. He also shows it by the type of media he used and what he painted it on. For this painting, he had used tempera on canvas. His inspiration for painting Venus came about during the Renaissance era. It is one of the first non-biblical female nudes in Italian art (Birth of Venus).…

All the twenty nine weather stations are distributed quite evenly in the entire kingdom. A spatial interpolation technique is used to predict the wind speed between the weather stations, where direct measured data is not available. In this analysis, the method used to convert the point data into raster format is the inverse distance weighted, IDW. It determines cell values using a linearly weighted combination of a set of sample points. The weight is a function of inverse distance. The surface being interpolated should be a variable dependent on location. The IDW interpolation technique was applied as it was found to be more accurate. Ali et al. [32] tested five wind speed interpolation methods (i.e. IDW, global polynomial interpolation, local polynomial interpolation, spline with 3 sub-types, and kriging with 4 sub-types) in Iraq. Based on the root mean square error values, the predicted values are compared with actual values for period between 1971 and 2010. The results demonstrated that the IDW yielded the best results, while the ordinary Kriging method occupied…
