soldier, a war correspondent, a lecturer, an author, and last, but not least, as a politician. I have understand it even now, for he has achieved two careers as a politician- one for each side of the house”. As expressed in this book, Churchill was more than qualified to be British Prime Minister. In the video, the narrator says, “He helped invent the first tanks for combat”, this tells us that Winston Churchill had practice, not just using weapons, but making them. This adds to his heaping pile of his experience. Richard Harding Davis also wrote in his book, “But within six weeks of his capture Churchill escaped, and after many adventures, rejoined his own army”. Winston escaped his capture, and then loyally returned to his army and country. It is confirmed that he had experience in being a hero.
Winston also thrived at leading England because he was proud of his country, and determined to bring home a victory. He said, on may 13th, 1940, “You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs- Victory in spite of all terrors- Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory, there is no survival”. While giving his “Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat” speech, Winston Churchill had one goal, to give people hope that they would succeed. He wanted to create a united expectation, and bring the country together over it. He always wanted the best for his country, no matter what it would take. Winston also published, “In fighting Germany we are indeed fighting an evil Will- evil because it seeks to crush the growth of individual and national freedom”. Churchill seemingly strived to do the best for Great Britain, whether or not it meant fighting the most resilient army of it’s time. “Churchill stayed active in politics until his death”. This proves that Winston wanted to support England as much as he could, and even while he was sick he participated in politic, impressive!
While Churchill was clearly an extraordinary leader, but some still have doubts about him.
“But was also credited with some awful choices including the failed gallipoli campaign that saw heavy casualties”, was explained in the video. Yes, while Churchill made a poor decision in enlisting in the declined Gallipoli campaign, he was successful in politics besides this. For instance he won parliamentary seats for the Conservative and Independent parties. The video also said, “Soon churchill pioneered the decision for Britain to re-adapt the gold standard which caused unemployment, and ultimately caused the general workers strike”. While this indeed was a lousy decision on his part, Churchill wasn’t the number one cause for the workers strike. Besides, Churchill was only trying to give citizens jobs. Though he failed at his first attempt Churchill gave jobs, not purposely, to hundreds of men who joined the army during World War 2! Winston demonstrated, again, that he only wanted to help Great Britain. Even if he may have failed at
times.

He clearly had experience, loyalty, and of course strength. Churchill made a truly outstanding leader, without a doubt.
