Wizard Of Oz Coming Of Age Analysis
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a novel strongly based on the theme of “coming of age” and is prevalent through all of the main characters. Primarily, in the three “helpers” paired with Dorothy, their coming of age is more based on them finding their true selves, and the life skills that they three all obtain. Of each of the characters I will be focusing on; the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, and the Scarecrow, they all have a more advanced coming of age; for they are already at the peak of adolescence but still have to mastery that maturity and confidence needed to reach their journeys in adulthood.
