Detailed descriptions of the interior of the ship and the outlying alien planets let me visualize and believe the story. Using terminologies like chronometer instead of a clock and imagery like this particular excerpt from the story, "Woden was a ball, enshrouded in the blue haze of its atmosphere, swimming in space against the background of star-sprinkled dead blackness" the author let us into this space. Therefore I connected with the characters and felt the grave gravity of the entire situation.
