At first I would like to give thanks to Almighty God for making me capable to complete this paper. This report is prepared basically from primary data, many secondary data also included here. Before starting the fieldwork my honorable coordinator Mrs Dipanwita Bhattacharjee provided the guidelines about preparing the questionnaire, data collection and report preparation. So I would like to give my deep gratitude and compliments to my honorable coordinator. I also grateful to the honorable respondents for giving their valuable time for the purpose of my study and sharing information about their business & own self. Abstract
This is a study on women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh – Case studies on some selected boutiques of Chittagong. There are four parts in this paper.
Part 1 is introductory part in which objective, methodology & limitation of the study etc topics are discussed.
In Part 2 a literature review on women entrepreneurship is discussed. Then Scenario of women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh is also described in this part including government role, role of NGOs & some Women organizations of Bangladesh are introduced.
Part 3 is the analysis of findings of survey on boutique business. In this part information about five selected boutiques of Chittagong are presented. What is their current situation in business, what problems they face etc matters are presented here.
Finally in Part 4 some policies are recommended for betterment of the current condition of the women entrepreneurs & also for gaining success in boutiques business.
