However, in many countries in the world, women are looked down upon. It is more difficult for them to get some work than men.
In order to get a job, they sometimes have to tell a lie. That's unfair .
What's more, most of the top position in society, like company directors, judges, university professors, etc. are occupied by men. Over centuries men have been training and educating women to consider themselves inferior and to accept their superior position.
As a result, not only men are prejudiced against women, but some women also prejudiced against themselves because they believe they are really inferior and only fit for household chores. Women should no longer be treated as the inferior sex.
They should stand side by side with men and define their roles in society, Women should be given an equal chance of education in order to compete with men on an equal footing. Men should take an equal share in housework so as to liberate women from kitchen. It is unreasonable for authorities to refuse to promote women to important posts just because they have children to bring up.
Only we admit that men and women are equal, the harmonious development of society can be.

Throughout history, men dominated the planet. Their ability to withstand hard physical labor launched males as the superior gender for centuries. As society progressed, the necessity for physical labor decreased. Today, only a select few jobs require hard labor while the education system influences the job market. This change in society opens the door for women to excel at the same pace as men, however, men continue to insist on enforcing outdated gender roles.…

It is imperative that women have the same freedoms as men. Women are people just like men and should have the same rights, equality among sexes. The article by Crystal Eastman “Now We Can Begin” is a successful argument for women’s rights. Freedom should be a right everyone possesses, without any exceptions equality is equality. Education should not be limited to only men, women who have been teaching for years because of a few different reasons should have the same opportunities.…

Will men and women ever truly be equal? What would our founding fathers think of women’s role in today’s society? Can women be elevated to prestigious roles including President of the United States of America? Women’s roles today have evolved but will they ever truly be equal to men? The dictionary defines gender as “The state of being male or female, typically used with reference to social and cultural differences, rather than biological ones,” (Merriam-Webster Learner’s Dictionary.) In today’s society, women hold high-paying jobs such as CEO’s of major corporations, doctors, scientist, lawyers, politicians and many more. Women contribute so much to the world today, but it wasn’t always that way. In Colonial America, a woman's role was governed by men; it was not acceptable for women to have any interests outside of the home. Their life was focussed on the traditional roles of running the home and raising the children. Men not only…

Women are equal to men. Doesn't it balance out? Unfortunately in society, they aren't treated that way. One example of this is in the play 'Taming of the Shrew' as it displays women as the lesser sex, with male lead Petruchio placing a bet on his ability to 'tame' Katherine, a mean bat, but also his future wife.…

Through out history, society has stereotyped women, making it merely impossible for women to achieve her goals and desires in life. In life and in this county women have always been treated as second best by biased men. Women have always been treated like they are never good enough for careers outside of the home. The sex of a person should not determine what type of duties or what kind of job a person will have. It should be up to a person's own will not the decisions of society.…

Throughout time, women have always been seen as the weaker sex of the human race. Not only have they been considered weaker, but also intellectually inferior to men. Women were considered to be better suited for roles inside the home as a wife and a mother. They have had fewer legal rights and career opportunities. In the 20th century, women won the right to vote and also increased their educational and job opportunities. With these opportunities, women have merged onto the workforce and political stages.…

Some say a woman should be happy to have a partner, regardless of how they treat her. Others make gender-based statements on what women can and can’t do. The fact that some people dislike female presidential candidates merely based on the gender is an current example of the adversity women face in “men’s jobs” still face. I’ve heard a multitude ignorant comments spewed from many about how a woman’s privileges and roles can’t be equal to that of a man’s, and is that really any different than Tom’s cruel comments about his opinion of women in the…

All men are created equal; this includes women as well. Over a decade of years, women certainly have come a long way to gain the same kind of equal equality as men, such as being able to vote and being able to join the armed forces and fight alongside men. As growing up I was always told that playing dolls is a girl’s toy and playing a car is a boy’s toy. In my cultural, I was taught that girl couldn’t work in a male job, and I was taught to do housework while the men did nothing around the house. In my house/culture, the men are the provider while the women in my opinion are the servant in which caters to every male in the household. If people were to think about combat in the army many just picture a male behind the military ACU (advanced…

Because the society is still patriarchal, which means is still mainly ruled by men and the most important jobs such as managers are occupied mainly by men, it is hard for women to prove they are capable to do the same jobs as men. Women have experienced a historic situation of inequality in the social as well as professional aspects. Women are normally the ones that would take care of the children, do the household chores, and in rural areas; they would work in the field with the rest of the family. Just like how the Breaking Barriers article states, “from an early age, girls are dressed in pink boys in blue. Boys are given trucks to play with while girls are offered dolls [..] girls are assigned household duties like washing the dishes and doing laundry, while boys are relegated to mowing the lawn and talking out the trash” (18). Gender inequality in the workplace is becoming less common; yet, gender is a factor that affects both men and women. Also, in Breaking Barriers article it says how “females and males often choose career paths that are traditional for their gender” (18). Females are usually seen in jobs such as nursing or paralegals. Males are typically doing jobs that have to do with welding, carpentry, or engineering. Women could have the same capabilities and maybe even higher qualifications than a men going for the same position, but because of gender inequality the male is more likely to get the job then the female. Men and women should be offered the same job opportunities no matter what gender they are; it should be based on their ability to complete the…
