WOMEN IN MILITARY

With the social development, the role of women are become more important in society. The discrimination between male and female is almost disappeared. Therefore, women have a chance to develop themselve and get a job they want. Even they can do well in man's job. In some countries, many people believe that women should not serve in the military, but i think it is a mistake, if they do not permit women to serve in military, because of three reasons. Firstly, there are some tasks that need the hand of female to complete successfully. For example, in army medical corps, the main missions are to treat, recover and take care of soldiers. Those tasks are appropriate for women, who are patient, thoughtful and friendly. For some dangerous missions, such as spy, women usually have a flexible way to adapt the circumstance. Secondly, women can comply the rules in military better than men do. Female soldiers usually show perfect discipline in the rules, missions or plans in army, and they will try their best to complete them. It is not right to say that men are careless in military's dicipline. Because male sometime want to show off or prove they are better than other soldiers. Therefore, some cases will lead to break the rules or do not obey order. Finally, that is about the patriotism. If men can join the army to show their love with the country, why women can not do it? Nowadays, the equal between male and female has been greatly improved. Thus, women have the right to serve in military by voluntary and show their patriotism. To summarize, women have many personalities which are suitable in army. They are no only do well their tasks, but also obey orders in military. Therefore, women should have the right to serve in the

Women in combat In the article, “Military women in Combat: Why making it official matters” composed by Jena McGregor, the author clearly makes a strong stance regarding women in the military. One point being, that at least 14,00 new jobs were made unrestricted, while 250,00 jobs in the military still remain restricted to men only. The main point in the article is difficult to point out at first , because the author seems to be in favor for women’s advancement in the military without combat and gives example to support her argument.…

Speaking from a woman who is in the military I’m going to elaborate on why I think that women shouldn’t serve in combat positions. It’s scientifically proven that women doesn’t physically perform at the same level as men. For an example, the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) is broken down into two categories’, women and men and in which they have different age groups in which women are held to a lower standards than men. The APFT have different requirements when you turn a certain age meaning your body can’t handle as much as it did when you were younger. Same thing with women and men you can’t hold them to the same standard when their body is constructed differently. Physically a woman skeletal system is less dense and prone to have more breakages than a man. Psychological concerns are that women would be place on the front line and then get pregnant to escape from combat. Another reason I think women shouldn’t go into some combat positions such as sniper school is because you have to be aware that they camp out for days, but a woman can’t do that especially if they are on their menstrual cycle. We as women have to realize is that we can’t do everything as men.…

Did you know that females fought in the revolutionary war? Yes, women, they had to disguise themselves as men and change their names so they wouldn’t be recognized. In the usa today it’s normal to see a female in the military. Women’s rights evolved a lot over there and still are. In older years all women did was cook, clean, and take care of the house, nowhere near the military.…

Women are just as equal as men as is everyone else. Women shouldn't be called out just because they're not strong, or don't have as much mentality as men. Women should have the right to serve in combat. Only women with really good training and strength would be allowed in war. The leaders wouldn't allow anybody with no training or skill out in combat. “As long as an applicant is qualified for a position, one’s gender doesn't matter.” (Sisters in Arms) It isn't hard to give a woman…

Everyone works extraordinarily courageous when danger is experience. Women are not left out. They work as hard to ensure they achieve what is required of them. No gender is designed for courageous acts to be in the military solely. Women and men can work hand in hand to fight the battles and emerge victorious. Women have been restricted from artillery, infantry, armor and other combat roles in specialty. They are recruited to perform administrative work, nurse the ill and wounded, do laundry and cook for the troops. I strongly disagree with the person who came up with this plan. Women should be allowed in the army not to cook but to serve as their male counterparts since no gender is better suited for some jobs and careers (Lianas…

For the past few years, women have been extremely vocal on their beliefs on this debated topic. Women have accused men of being privileged and not giving the rights to women. They have made a very impressive leap in the military field in the past years. “There are currently 1.4 million members of the active-duty military, of which 14% are women” (McGuire 692). While 14% may not seem like a lot, it is actually a significant increase, because women were not even allowed in the military just years ago. This may be a good start for women’s rights, but if women want full equal rights, then women should be required to register for the military draft. As of right now, women are still fighting for their true equal…

One hundred years have passed, and women have marched forward, quite literally. Women have progressed from being strictly wives and teachers to soldiers on the front line; therefore, they should be treated the same as men. Not only are women capable of fighting beside a man in the military now, but they are also great at many other positions in the military such as nurses and pilots. Girls being included in the selective services would increase the size and power of the US army when the time came. Women have most of the same rights as men do living in the United States. Women should not be excluded from the draft because men think women are not equal. Women have the same freedom as men, therefore women should have to fight for it like men as…

This argument makes sense because the physical side of women are lower than man. In basic training the standards of physical fitness have been set to suit men, and women attempting to reach them will over-stretch themselves. Also there is a factor of enemy abuse while both male and females are at risk of torture and rape, but misogynistic societies may be more willing to abuse women prisoners. However women have proven to be a good support in the combat system with morale, tradition and mission effectiveness. In the end there are more positives than negatives for women being allowed to serve in the combat…
