One example of women in terrorism the book (Terrorism the Bottom Line) was about a lady whose name was Thenmuli Rajaratam also went by the name Dhanu. It was May 21st 1991 when Dhanu walked up to former prime minister Rajhiv Gandhi in the middle of a crowd, knelt at his feet as if she was praying for him and set off a bomb located under her garments of clothing killing 18 people including Rajhiv, Gandhi and herself whiles Rajhiv was preparing for his parliamentary elections. Dhanus reason for her actions was because she was sent by the “LTTE” also known as the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam. LTTE sent her because four years before the bombing Rajiv the prime minister had sent part of his army to their hometown of what is now known as Sri Lanka to engage in battle that turned out bloody. The LTTE realized if Rajiv was elected again the same thing might happen so they send Dhanu knowing no one would suspect a women of pulling such a heinous crime to meet his fate because of their usual kind and loving background.
