Abstract
In recent years, the most changes in word formation are affected mostly by some advances in technology and the breakthroughs that was the result of that, which affects the life style of people. The outcome of these changes was development of political and economic, emergence of new areas such as, sport, fashion and music, invention of new medicine, some psychological attitudes, communicating through new channels of communication, affect of invention of internet. These factors play an important role in the growth of English vocabulary. These changes happen usually by some processes including borrowing, coining, acronym, clipping, blending, and some morphological processes in combining words to fit new ideas in to language. This research review surveys the process of word formation in 21st century in English vocabulary and gives an example of some words which has added to dictionaries recently as the result of the mentioned factors.
