Background Caspian Technical Training Center is Oil and Gas technical training facility located in Sangachal, Azerbaijan. Established in 2004, managed and operated by TTE-Petrofac on behalf of BP and its Partners, center had been designed to meet technical training needs of the Caspian region and achieve BP nationalization targets in Azerbaijan.
Center mainly specializes on professional development of local & international workforces’ competencies & skills; is focused on delivery of training services in range of disciplines, including safety, production, operations and maintenance. All programs combine theoretical learning with practical experiential and on-the-job training and range from competency based Foundation to Advanced level. Every course is assessed to ensure that it meets BP standards and international requirements.
My role within the organization is Senior Production Trainer Deputy. My responsibilities include supervising and leading team of 12 production trainers, coordinating all aspects of effective delivery, assessment of the production foundation training courses. I am also responsible for training program scheduling and workflow, staff allocation, coordinating company-wide internal projects within the team, interacting with the clients on a regular basis. My role requires ability to view things strategically and continually, challenge what we do and how we go about doing it.
Description of the problem
The problem I have chosen associated with quality inadequacies of existing Production Foundation written-test-based assessment system which does not fully accomplish the objectives and learning outcomes it is intended for.
