What is workplace safety? Workplace safety refers to the health and safety or welfare of persons working a job. It does not matter if the person is a construction worker or an accountant, workplace safety still affects them. Workplace safety is a very important topic for employers as well as employees. Employers have to make sure that employees are aware and appropriately trained in their areas so that they can avoid any harm. Does having or following policy and procedures eliminate all risk of danger and provide a safe workplace for employees? Someone may fall in the workplace. Falling in the workplace is one of the most common causes of a person being physically hurt. A person who works as a mechanic, a farmer, or someone in a factory will have the chance of being injured mechanically through the use of machines.
