World in Terror

The most influential event that lead to the World on Terror was the terrorist attack by the Islamic Terrorist group Al-Qaida to The United States of American on September 11, 2001. The attack of terrorism left the USA and the world in a state of shock and panic. Politicians in U.S described as “war on terror, good versus evil”. Everything began when 4 men organized a series of 4 planned attacks on the U.S. The first planned attack was the hijacking of two 747 airplanes where they held the passengers hostage and eventually lead them to their deaths when they crashed both planes into the World Trade Center A.K.A the “Twin Towers” in New York City. The second planned attack was the hijacking of a single plane which crashes into the Pentagon. The final planned attack was a hijacking of yet another airplane but thankfully we owe our gratitude to the brave passengers on that flight, it is because of their bravery the plane went down in an empty field. Although the location that the fourth plane was determined to go is still unsure, but the plane was headed towards our nation’s capital Washington D.C. and expects suspect that it was headed straight to the White House. Terrorism is described as a use of violence, murder, destruction for political purposes. The 9/11 attacks resulted in a lot of tragedy, death and destruction. Over 3,000 lost their lives during this attack in New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. On a beautiful, ordinary Tuesday morning, the terrorist hijacked a bowing 747 with about 20,000 of fuel in each air craft and crashed them both into the iconic towers within 18 minutes of each collision. The collision caused a massive explosion which left some citizens of New York running in terror and some frozen with shock. Those innocent people trapped in the towers either escaped or died trying. A grand total of 3000 people were killed on the ground and everyone on both planes were killed instantly. People were struggling getting out, only 6 people
