One of the main similarities was that both wars were fought between two associations. World War1 was a conflict fought between the central powers Germany, Austria-Hungry Bulgaria and Turkey. (Open University, 2014). On the other hand it was the allied powers which were France, Britain, Russia, Italy, Belgium and from 1917 the US. (Open University, 2014). Second World War was also fought between two associations which were between the axis powers which included countries like Germany, Italy and Japan. On the opposite hand it was allied powers who involved France, Great Britain, the United States and Soviet Union. (Mazzei, Michael. 2015) Unfortunately both wars resulted in several deaths which cannot be exactly defined. It was predicted that World War 1 resulted in ten million individuals died throughout the war and twenty million people got injured. The Treaty Versailles was signed by a European leaders who had a contribution in World War 1. The Treaty Versailles was a way for to end World War 1 (Keleher, Edward P. 2015) and a way for Germany to lose power and the amount of their army. After this signing it could be clearly identified that Germany wasn’t going to hold back about this and that was the reason for the Second World War to begin. After World War 1 Germany was broke and the country wasn’t financially stable. (Keleher, Edward P.2015) There was no one in charge of Germany and other countries were taking advantage of it. This was when Adolf Hitler stepped in to take control of Germany and he declared war in many places such as the holocaust with the Jewish people as well on other countries.
