During World War II, after the United States join the war, they led the Allies to the victory. Millions fight bravely but only thousands were killed. By comparison to the Axis, the United States spent the most money but in return for least sacrifice. So, the victory cannot be separated from American citizens’ money and their help to their country. In Document 1, President Roosevelt said that to make the United States successful in World War II, the superiority in weapons must be overwhelming. That means he wants the United States produce the most and the best weapons in the world. Not only for their own uses, but also for the fighting on their sides. In the image of Document 2, there’s a factory are produce huge amount of planes. In Document 3, it said “half the Metal in every ship, every tank, every gun is scrap!” They asked Americans to donate scrap for the war effort. They would use these scrap to built ship, tank and guns to help the country to win the war. In Document 3, they encourage people donate the scrap to build weapons. If no one donate metal for war effect, so the United States will not be able to produce so many weapons like Document 5 and 7 showed. Also, Document 9 showed us the United States spent most money on the war, but they will not get so much money if no one spend their money on war bonds to pay for the ammo and weapons from Document 6.
