Developing a Biblical Worldview A worldview is made up of various parts. How we interpret the world around us, why we believe we exist, why we behave as we do; our answers and responses to these create our worldviews. A biblical worldview is the only worldview that makes sense because it leaves no missing links. All of our questions and curiosity can be simply answered, or solved, by establishing and living out a life of integrity through a Biblical worldview. Interpreting the world from a biblical viewpoint is to believe that God is the sole Creator and Sustainer of life; from how we came to be, our purpose in life, the world and universe around us and all that God is. God created man is His image and likeness. To multiply, have dominion over the earth and all living creatures, and to bring Him glory. (Genesis 1:26-28; 1 Corinthians 10:31 NKJV) Many people wander through life searching for answers to why they exist. Deep within each person is a longing for meaning. (Frankl, pg. 127, 1986) They have no direction as a result of departing from their Creator. (Phillips, Brown, Stonestreet 2008) When a person starts a new job they are given a job title, a description of their job and the instructions on how to successfully fulfill that position. In the same way the Bible tells us who we are and gives us clear instructions on how to fulfill our position. Those who do not agree with or live according to a Biblical viewpoint may believe that the Earth was part of the Big Bang Theory as suggested by Belgian priest, Georges Lemaitre in the 1920’s. (National Geographic) Others may believe in a worldview that is contradictory to itself. Such as the Naturalist who will state that laws of nature created the appearance of design but yet they cannot say where the universe came from. Something cannot come from nothing.
