Worldview of Muslims In our ”Global Class”, we discussed about different topics consisted of learning how to live in a complex world as global citizens. After writing my first reflection on worldview of Afghanistan, I decided to do my final assignment on worldview of Muslims. The topic discusses about the different prospective that other people and Muslims may have about each other.
As we discussed in the class that family, education, and media affect our daily lives and has provided us with a different image of the world. This aspect of our lives is the main factor that controls our minds, thoughts, and behaviours.

We had a discussion in class about the
Paris attack and also about the Muslim woman who attacked at Toronto after the Paris attack. The worldview of this issue was that, a terrorist group called “ISIS” did the attacked and they identified themselves as Muslims. Therefore, most of people assume that all Muslims are terrorist. Now, I would like to remove the negative impression that people have against Muslims. As a Muslim, being brought up in an Islamic society, I state that all Muslims are not terrorists. I am uttering it because in Islam, even harming an animal is a sin, so it’s impossible for a Muslim to kill an innocent human being. In Quran, the holy book of Muslims, it says, “. …Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever save the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind” (5; 32). This means that if a Muslim kills only one person, it does not matter if that person is Muslim, Christian, Jewish or Hindu, it just means that he/she murdered all the humanity; and if a person save the life of one person, it means that person has saved all the humanity. This verse indicates that terrorism is not acceptable in Islam and the followers of Islam are totally against killing innocent people. Terrorists do not belong to any specific religion, but they are just a group of people who are brainwashed and controlled by powerful politicians and ladders.

The Paris attack was a deadly and very sad accident. Three groups were launched at six different attacks: one attack and three suicide bombing, the fourth suicide bombing was in another attack, and at four locations there was shooting, the attacks were in four different locations. “Paris, stricken by shock and grief, remained in a state of lockdown, with public transportation hobbled and public institutions — schools, museums, libraries, pools, food markets — closed.” (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/15/world/europe/paris-terrorist-attacks.html?_r=0 )
"This is an attack not just on Paris; it's an attack not just on the people of France. But this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share," President Barack Obama said in response to the violence.

Muslims have engaged to Twitter to say "#IAmAMuslim and I condemn the Paris attacks" to show unity and empathy with France and to prove that Islam is a religion of peace.
People from all around the world, of all religions, have taken to social media to show solidarity with the French. Muslims have used social media to demonstrate that they want no part in the extremism and violence that terrorists commit in the name of Islam. The hashtags #NotInMyName and #IAmAMuslim are being used to say that extremists will not be tolerated and their messages of hate contradict the messages of peace that Muslims want to promote. Muslim leaders from around the world have also condemned the attacks. Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani has condemned the attacks, calling them a “crime against humanity”.
The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack which saw eight militants, all wearing suicide vests, bring unprecedented violence to the streets of the French capital, in the bloodiest attacks in Europe since the Madrid train bombings in 2004. While the attacks are not the firs time IS has targeted France, they do mark the first time France has seen suicide bombings in the streets of its capital, which the group referred to as “the capital of abominations and perversion.”

Islam strictly outlaws killing or causing harm to innocent people – regardless of their religion and beliefs.
Prophet (PBUH) prohibited killing innocent non-Muslims and emphasized the grave consequence of such action. “Anyone who kills a non-Muslim will not smell the fragrance of the Paradise, even though its fragrance can be experience at a distance of forty years.” (Al Bukhari).
The prophet also warned Muslims of hurting or offering non-Muslims in Muslim states. “He who hurts a Non-Muslim citizen of a Muslim state, I am his adversary, and I shall be his adversary on the Day of Judgment.” (Al Bukhari). According to Islamic teachings, non-Muslims should feel safe and secure in Muslim countries and should not be hurt or threatened by any means. Moreover, a true
Muslim is not the one who terrorism people and spreads fear and insecurity among them. “By God, he is not a true believer, from whose mischief his neighbors do not feel secure. “Prophet Muhammad (Al Bukhari, Muslims). Even in his sermon, the Prophet (PBUH) ordered Muslims not to hurt others. “Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds.” Islam prohibits causing any kind of harm to other people whatever their religion or beliefs are.

After the Paris attack, a woman in Toronto was attacked, told to go back to your own country. My point is that, what is her mistake, she is not responsible for a terrorist attacked that have happened in the Paris.
Toronto police said the men approached the woman called her a “terrorist” and told her to “go back to your country,” adding that the men then tore off her hijab, robbed her of her money and cellphone and punched her.
“It’s a hate crime. When people stop a woman in the street. One grab her scarf and one punch her and start saying bad words about Muslims.” In the wake of the terror attacks in Paris, some Muslims in Toronto have suddenly become the target of alleged, and sometimes violent, backlash. Cindy Pom reports. A Toronto mother is concerned for her two children’s safety after anti-Muslim graffiti was discovered inside the hallway of her apartment building Monday night. The words were “Muslims go home!!! We do not what you here!” were written across from her front door.
It is alleged the suspects tore off the victim’s hijab and called her a terrorist. The woman was taken to hospital for unspecified injuries and was later released.
Over the weekend, a mosque in Peterborough was ravaged by a fire and is now being investigated as a hate crime.
In a statement, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he was “deeply disturbed” by the incident and that the federal government would work hard to find those responsible for setting the mosque on fire.
In conclusion, Muslims are not responsible for the Paris attacked and Islam is a religion of peace not terror. People should stop hateful commits and behavior toward Muslims. Only ISIS cannot define all the Muslims in the world. Terrorism
has no religion.
