Worst job
A couple years ago I was not doing much after graduating. I was trying to pass a tragedy. My uncle, a friend, and I got into a wreck and they both got severally heart, but I did not. Trying to get passed this I started call people that I knew seeing if I could get a job. After a while I got a call from a friend in Arizona got me a job working for the oil company so I though. This job was the one and for most worst job ever.

First, about a week went by while I was getting settled in my aunts apartment after that I got drove to work the first day. My job was an hour drive into the city of Phoenix. When I got there I was greeted by my friend Josiah. We sat down then the boss came in and he started telling me what the job was all about. Turns out that the job had nothing to do with the oil company it was only invested by a oil company. The job was sitting in front of a computer for hours on end calling businesses seeing if they had any delinquent accounts, so I was working for a collection agency. This was just the start on my worst job experience.

Second, this collection agency that I just got hired into on false pretences really angry me mad. It was one of the jobs I said I would never do, but I was there and I gave it a shot. When I was done getting trained they sent me off on my own to see how I did. All I had to do was push a button on the computer and it would call the first person on my list of thousands of numbers. The first business I called and I remember it vary vividly it was a car dealership. When I finally able to talk to the manager I introduced myself and told him why I was calling and who I worked for. It was really stupid to think that he would talk to me without hanging up, but he did he stayed on the phone long enough to tell me that I’m a stupid ass for what I do for a living and for wasting his time then he hung up. This happed more time then I can remember, but I had to get someone to talk to me and go

I had to dig deep for this! Dig deep to figure out what big problems I faced throughout these past years. It wasn't easy for me because I faced many difficulties throughout my life. Then I remember a time in my first 2 years of high school. I was oblivious. Confuse about my future. Whether I wanted to do something after high school. I have to admit school wasn't my priority in freshman year. I wouldn't get the best grade, but they weren't the worst either. All I cared about is having friends. Then something hit me. Seeing all these seniors not graduate on time. Seeing many kids struggle financially after high school. I eventually notice that those who go to college succeed more. Especially being a minority it's extremely difficult to succeed…

The worst job I’ve ever had was probably working at Petsmart, in Sand City. I have had a lot of jobs and this made me realize I don’t like working at corporations or in retail. I grew up in the country and have always had jobs doing physical labor either at my parent’s farm, or the surrounding farms. When I first started working at Petsmart I liked it. As time went on I started to see how bad it really was. The management was horrible, I was assigned for a graveyard type job, and no one did anything until the District manager was coming in that week.…

I know I am not the only person that has had a hard time getting into school, or understanding how. Now that I’m in it, I feel lots better but of course it has been a very hard time coming from a 9-5 job and then straight to another job to pay the bills. First off, I learned that it is not free. No matter how many ads and people I had spoken to telling me “oh yeah, school is free”. It certainly has not been for me at least. I had a few small grants but nothing that was enough to help out with my living costs/ tuition/ books, thus leaving me to the device of taking out student loans. Since then I have been seeking scholarships but have not had the greatest luck. With this information that I have provided, I have now taken one loan out and this is my first loan. I still work two jobs picking up shifts at a bar on a weekend and receiving a student loan. I shouldn’t have to take a loan out that I am going to pay back years from now. I am having to work two jobs and do two classes a semester which to get to any or the degree that I want, will take years thus leaving me with a huge amount of debt I owe. Now, I am still lost just finding my own balance of work and…

Before I went back to school I had worked at several places that paid minimum wage and did not offer much room for advancement. I tried convenient store work, Medical Records Clerk, or Unit Secretary, and even driving a semi tractor trailer over the road. I just was not making very much money. Oh, I paid my bills…

My first job was horrible. I did not really know how bad those fast food jobs really were until I got my first job. I was a cook at Whataburger. Yes Whataburger in Decatur, the Texas treasure, the Alcatraz of the west, the worst place to work in America. Believe me when I say that Whataburger is the closest thing to hell a human can experience. Maybe not that far, but it is bad. The job was not that bad at first. Everyone would joke around be relaxed, and have a good time. However, Whataburger does something to you. Whataburger sucks your soul out of you in an agonizing process known as “Whataburger’ll do that to ya,” killing you slowly everyday. A variety of factors would contribute to…

I decided to return to school for personal reasons. Returning to school is something that I have thought of doing for a very long time. I guess you could just say that I have been very lazy and procrastinated for a long time. I tried to go to college right out of high school but it did not work out. I don’t think I was quite prepared to make that big step. I was headed down the wrong path and decided it was time to do something with my life. I knew it would help me to grow as a person. I now find myself in sort of the same situation. I’ve been a cashier for 18yr and now I work hard every day loading a Goodwill trailer to support my kids I know that without a collage education that most likely will not happen. I also want to be a positive influence to my children and show him how important education is. I want to be a good influence to my son and daughter but most of all I want to better myself as a person. Plus most of all I know in 4 to 5 yr. my fibromyalgia will not be getting any better. By that time my R.A. in my back will be getting bad, I still have 8 yrs. left to support my little girl. I know I can’t do it working on…

I spent the end of May and beginning of June applying for any activity job or volunteer opportunity that held my interest. I spent hours preparing for interviews, writing lengthy letters and internally panicking at every ring of the phone. in June I started my first job at the Hebron Carnival, and I could not have been more excited. I promised myself that I would work my hardest to make the carnival a better place than when I arrived. I also was accepted by the volunteer program at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and began work there every Monday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. that was the most educational job I have ever had the pleasure of working at.Also in June I applied to work at Azar Eye Institute and received a position there. I worked there Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7 to 5:30. even after balancing my workload I was informed that I got a job volunteering at the library; which I did Monday and Thursday afternoons, and I also got a job working with children and animals at the Pemberton nature camp. Five jobs for a 15-year-old without a license sounds overwhelming, and it was. However, I loved every minute of it. I liked being part of the team, I liked being relied on by my fellow staff members, and most of all I liked having a…

These two job scenarios were a rude awakening and I realized that we should not always get to comfortable at a job or jump so quickly into a new one. Shortly after being jobless for the second time around in the same year I had low spirits, nothing going for myself, I just simply didn’t want to do anything. I lost myself. One day I met up with one of close friends and wow did she ever lecture me, but the words that gave me comfort were “Everything will turn out all right”. These small, simple words turn things around for me. I’ve always heard people say it but never put too much thought into…

I left college for a year to come back home and work. At the time that I left school I didn’t think that it was for me. I was working my butt off at school every day with no reward. At times I felt as if it was all for nothing. I didn’t have a job, I needed money and I stayed stressed out and bogged down with all different types of coursework. I just felt that my talents and effort could be put to better use elsewhere. I felt that if I dropped out and became employed full time that that situation would better suit me. However, after having had taken the working man’s route and still barely making ends meet I feel like I made an irrational decision by leaving college. I also found out that a college graduate has the potential to make up to a million more dollars in their lifetime as opposed to those with only a high school diploma. That tiny bit of information was enough to change my mind and lead me towards wanting to get back into school. I made a hasty decision in leaving school in the first place. I was more concerned about my current living situation instead of being focused on long term goals and how successful I wanted to be later on in life. I guess I can say that I had a little growing up to do. Now I can confidently say that I’m more focused than I’ve ever been in my entire life and that nothing will hinder me from becoming successful.…

I had always known I wanted to go back into school, however I started working and earning good money. I wasn’t doing very well in school; I actually failed a class and had to pay it and that is when I stopped going to school. I didn’t want to pay more than $1000, just to go back. One day I started analyzing myself, in the company I was in and that there really wasn’t much growth in there. I was seeing that all my friends were graduating, some of them were already working on their masters and some of them were making even more money. So I knew I had a problem, I had stopped chasing my dream because I was too busy wasting my money in other things. So after a lot of thinking, over- analyzing I started making payments and came back into school.…
