Although, the facility is not affiliated with any religious philosophy, it has individuals who come in and provide spiritual services. I paired up with an excellent nurse, who had a background in wound care and she explained to me much information about wound care and different kinds of dressing changes that are used for pressure ulcers. As I observed her caring for the wounds, she was detailed about what to look for and how important it was to use the right type of dressing for healing. I did not expect my experience to be this educational; however, I am glad I had the opportunity to spend a day with not only a great nurse, but with patients from various scenarios. Fractures of bones, pneumonia, influenza, falls and others, were some of the diagnosis of the residents I cared for today. I believe the knowledge gained today will serve me in the future when caring for geriatric patients with similar health conditions as the ones I experienced
