It is the main character vs. herself. Miss Strangeworth thought that it is her job to protect the town from evil, she had to fight and protect the town from it. She writes letters with abusive words in a bad handwriting to neighbors that she thought they needed her help. Ms.Strangeworth was spreading rumors and some really bad words to people, which destroyed the trust between them because of her letters. It was a method to destroy the town. She wanted them to feel guilty. She was against herself because she was fighting against evilness but then we found out that she is the source of an indirect evilness. She believed she was preventing and blocking everyone from evil in the town, when really; she was the one creating it. She wrote secret letters writing about the people in her town but they didn't know she wrote them. She was planning for something to take revenge of someone or she just doesn’t want to help people so she went with this method.
