Tell me about your Lunar New Year
In Chinese and many other Asian countries, people celebrate the Lunar New Year. With me, the Lunar new year is the most important holiday of the year when all of the family’s member gather together after a hard-working year.
It’s 11.59 PM on December 30th in the Lunar Calendar. In just a minute, New Year’s Day began with a bang. Fireworks are displayed, all of my family drank champagne, kissed and hugged together. We all yelled “Happy New Year “-a word to say goodbye to the old year and hello to the New Year. Then, we all have a snack and watch TV together. Next, our parents gave me and my brother some ‘lucky money’ and we all wish each other New Year’s greeting. Then, we all have a snack and watch TV together until morning.
In the first morning of the year, we all sat together for a ‘breakfast new year’.There, we forgive for all of our mistakes of the old year and only talk about the plans for the new year. Next, after finishing the breakfast, when our entire neighbor went to visit grandparents, visit another person’s house, we call every of our relatives that lives far away from us to greet for a Happy New Year and stay at home for most of the day to relax for the long trip the day after
In the evening of the day, our family went to visit some of my father’s old friend and drank coffee at a garden café to relax. It was really interesting!
Lunar New Year is my favorite holiday as well as the most significant to me. Family share happiness with every family members.I’m very glad to celebrate Lunar New Year with my family.With these relaxing days,I got my energy back which help me overcome the difficulty in my life.
