Writing Experience
My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers, documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me to put together words to form sentences. I was also taught how to correctly write sentences so that I did not have any run-ons or fragments only clean, complete, and well put together sentences. Eventually in Jr. High and High school I was able to use what I had learned in previous years to write paragraphs, term papers, and research papers for my English teachers as a grade. Everything that I had learned in school helped me to be able to write resumes for jobs in my adult life. It is very important that my resumes be very well written and that my words are professional. Employers look at how well resumes are worded and how well it is put together. That has a huge effect on getting a job. If the employer sees that I can not write or I use words that are not professional that could cost me the job I was trying to get. My writing has been very basic up until this point I hope to gain the knowledge of great writing from this point on. I have many writing needs that I need to improve on and goals that I want to accomplish while in college. A few of them consist of being able to organize my thoughts so they make sense. I need to be able to write papers so that they can be understood by my readers and that they all tie in together

Personally, I’ve always felt I was a decent writer in all aspects regarding research and personal narratives. Considering those are subjects that interest me and that I love to read about. I struggle the most when it comes to making my writing hold a deeper or hidden message when the topics I am told to write about don’t interest me. Having to do rhetorical analysis with old literature and having to explain the main idea was my number one struggle in AP language and composition senior year. But other than that I felt, throughout high school, I enjoyed writing and taking a majority of the writing classes my school had to offer, not only because it was required but because it was something that teachers and myself felt I did acceptable work.…

The branches of the democratic government in the United States are limited by other branches by the Check and Balances in the Constitution. "The Unitary Executive Theory was implemented by the Bush administration to justify effectively unchecked presidential power over the use of military force, the detention and interrogation of prisoners, extraordinary rendition, and intelligence gathering" (Edelson). The Unitary Executive Theory is under Article Two of the Constitution as a mythology (Epps). The Unitary Executive Theory gives the president the power to deploy the army without the permission of the Congress like with George W. Bush was given authority to deploy the appropriate force against the terrorists that attacked in 9/11 (Epps). The Unitary Executive Theory also gives the president the power to that doesn't need the consent of Congress and it is likely could break the laws of the Constitution.…

The Wichita Kid from “The Gunfighter” by Alden Nowlan and a young man living on the streets of Calgary both demonstrate that we fear what we do not understand. Citizens need to personally comprehend someones situation before they can help or judge them directly. Homelessness and poverty are often hard situations to face considering how uncomfortable and awkward it can become. When Kevin O’Brien has a short conversation with Wichita he learns that he is unaware of reality and living his delusional life as a famous gunfighter. Confused and not understanding Wichita’s situation, Kevin tries to solve his own guilt by lending the young boy some spare change. Much like Kevin O’Brien when I encountered the young unfortunate man in Calgary my own heart ached, so I tossed him a couple of loonies and left. Although you feel major misery there is rarely anything you can do to support them without getting deeply involved.…
