“Some people feel that certain workers like nurses , doctors and teachers are undervalued and should be paid more, especially when other people like film actors or company bosses are paid huge sums of money that are out of proportion to the importance of the work that they do”. The actual society is used to recognizing people who can be a model to follow, someone that everybody would like to become. As not all people can not get a great life, they need someone in which can be reflected. So film actors and company bosses have more influence over people than nurses , doctors or teachers because they earn more money and are more popular. The businesses are based on what people are looking for, it is related to how much a person can earn independently to the importance of their work.
In early stages, children wanted to become nurses, doctors or teachers. In fact I was one of them, because I noticed that my parents used to see these people as very important. However, throughout the years , lifestyles have been changing . At present , children want to be a hero such as Superman or Iron man, so they see these actors as a model to follow. That is why the film industry has gotten very popular and for that reason good salaries rose because of the great demand
On the other hand, company bosses are also popular to people. Parents influence their children to study a career where they can be the head of a company with important charges. They can get good salaries and can afford many things like good cars or houses. On the contrary, nurses, doctors and teachers have less influence on people , because they are not well recognized , their lives are not as popular and interesting as the ones of a film actor or a company boss despite the fact their work is very important to contribute to the progress of a country. Because of the lack of importance on their work , their salaries have been seen affected, too.
I feel strongly that government together with businessmen should understand that our society need more well prepared people who help with the progress of our country and they should be recognized through their salary.

When a patient is getting ready for surgery, one of the last things on their mind is infection. As medical personnel though, it is a thought that definitely does not leave the mind. Getting an infection after surgery not only increases a patients hospital stay and recovery time, but also increases expenses for the hospital. When thinking of ways to decrease infection, it most often starts with preparation of the surgical site and insertion of invasive catheters. When cleaning the site, many institutions continue to use beta dine though research shows that Chlorhexidine has better results. Though Beta dine and Chlorhexidine both reduce bacterial count, Chlorhexidine is found to be more profound and longer lasting (Jarral, McCormack, Ibrahim & Shipolini, 2011).…

Elasticity of demand is a measure of responsiveness to a price change of a good or service. When demand is elastic, the percentage of a price change of a product will result in a larger percentage of quantity demanded (McConnell, p 77). It basically means reducing the price of a good service will result in a greater quantity demanded and an increase in revenue for the seller. When demand is inelastic, a change in price will result in a reduction of quantity demanded, which will then lead to a revenue decrease (McConnell, p 77). To demonstrate elastic and inelastic demand results, Company A sells 100 pens at $1.00 a piece each day, making their revenue $100.00. Company A then decides to sell their pens at $.50, which results in a total of 250 pens being sold. The total revenue from the price drop is $125, resulting in an additional $25.00; therefore the demand in this scenario is elastic. If selling the pens at the decreased price of $.50 would result in more pens being sold, but less total revenue, the demand is said to inelastic. According to McConnell, when demand in unit elastic, the percentage change in price and the resulting percentage changes in demand are the same. The change in price will not increase or decrease revenue.…

“Doctors are only above us because of their degree, but in my opinion I don’t think doctors should make as much money as they do because we do more than they do. We’re their assistants and everything but we do more work when it’s all said at done. We prepare everything for them for instance, for someone who’s receiving a specific surgery; we have to get everything ready. Their room, the equipment is all prepared by us and even after the surgery we clean up everything. We’re still caring for the patients because that’s what our job is but at the same time the doctor should be there as well because they get paid more than we do and it’s their patient.”…
