XYZ Fire Department Compliance Program addressing OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 The control of hazardous energy (Lockout/tagout).
Purpose:
The purpose of this plan is to meet the requirements of OSHA 29CFR 1910.147 the control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout). This plan will address the servicing and maintenance of machines and equipment in which unexpected energization or start-up of the machines or equipment, or release of energy, could harm employees. The overall goal of this plan is to provide a workplace that is safe and free of recognized hazards.
Responsibility:
Any employee or maintenance vendor with the intent of performing maintenance on a piece of equipment or machinery is responsible for their own safety as
