The article Shouting Across The Divide contains verity of meanings toward discriminations especially for Muslim religion. After listening and reading the radio conversation, it was clear to understand how discriminations has impacted critically to Muslims after 9.11 terror. The interview tells us the story about the Muslim family Serry and Chloe. Serry and her daughter Chloe were born, and have been grown up in the United States of America. Serry was married with a man from West Bank where has been suffering many conflicts of religions among near countries; Israel and Palestinian, and is territory of Palestinian now. Serry and her husband spent precious years together, and foamed a family with four daughters in a small town. There local business was successful as well. The family had pretty good relationships with neighbors and school friends. However, everything changed after 9.11 tragedy. Because of ethnicity, the all member of the whole family had to endure very hard time. Someone broke Serry’s car window, and left terrible memo: “leave the U.S.A.”. On the other hands, Chloe who used to be very popular in her class lost all of her friends because of the terror. Even a textbook in her class contained the crucial phrase that all of Muslims hate Christians and Americans who are considered as an evil by Muslims so all Muslims kill them. Serry’s husband who watched all the pains to his family, began to show deep depression, and wanted to go back to his country. However, Serry refused his offer, and he left alone one day. Eventually, the 9.11 terror, and vandalism has destroyed all the happiness of the family. Shalom Auslander who worked for an advertising company in New York also confessed that there were a lot of discriminative advertisements, and that made him to hate his job.…

atish was a Sales Manager for Industrial Products Company in City branch. A week ago,he was promoted and shifted to Head Office as Deputy Manager - Product Management for adivision of products which he was not very familiar with. Three days ago, the company VP -Mr. George, convened a meeting of all Product Managers. Satish's new boss (ProductManager Ketan) was not able to attend due to some other preoccupation. Hence, theMarketing Director, Preet - asked Satish to attend the meeting as this would give him anexposure into his new role.At the beginning of the meeting, Preet introduced Satish very briefly to the VP. The meetingstarted with an address from the VP and soon it got into a series of questions from him toevery Product Manager. George, of course, was pretty thorough with every single product of the company and he was known to be pushy and a blunt veteran in the field. Most of theProduct Managers were very clear of George's ways of working and had thoroughly preparedfor the meeting and were giving to the point answers. George then started with Satish.Satish being new to the product, was quite confused and fared miserably.Preet immediately understood that George had possibly failed to remember that Satish wasnew to the job. He thought of interrupting George's questioning and giving a discretereminder that Satish was new. But by that time, George who was pretty upset with the lackof preparation by Satish made a public statement "Gentlemen, you are witnessing here anexample of sloppy work and this can't be excused".Now Preet was in two minds - should he interrupt George and tell him that Satish is new inthat position OR should he wait till the end of the meeting and tell George privately. Preetchose the second option.Satish was visibly angry at the treatment meted out by George but he also chose to keep…

Privity is where someone not a party to a contract can be liable under neither it nor benefit from it. There has to be a promise from the party also some consideration. It is stated in the book 19th Century according to Richards that privity’s modern authority has been through the case of Dunlop v Lambert. In Dunlop v Selfridge[1] where there was a contract between Dunlop to the wholesaler and then to Selfridge, Dunlop stated not to sell tyres below the list price and the wholesaler created the second contract that if tyres were sold under the list price then it would be seen as a breach and there would be a fine of £5 for each tyre.[2] So this contract involved a third party which is the wholesaler in between. It was held in this case by Lord Haldane “in the law of England certain principles are fundamental. One is that only a person who is part to a contract can sue on it… a second principle is that if a person with whom a contract not under seal has been made is able to enforce it consideration must have been given by him…”[3] So this shows that it was for Dunlop to agree on this charge of £5 per tyre as they are under the seal of the contract. By using the rule stated from Dunlop v Lambert it states that the main contract holder in this case is Dunlop has less control that he would have if he had gone direct to the retailer to sell the product. So it seems there would have been more control if there were only two parties involved. Also under the rule Selfridge cannot get compensation if he suffers no loss. This rule has made it easier in Privity as it gives a remedy when parties had thought there was a breach and would cause damage to a identifiable third party and has there is no other remedy.[4] This allows the law on three party contracts being clear and consistent. In the case of Darlington Borough Council v Wilshire…
