About This Handbook

This handbook is designed to act as a pre-reading for the Yellow Belt Certification programme. This can also be used as a Ready Reckoner for the basic Quality tools used in the Continuous Improvement of processes leading to better quality, cost, delivery and safety.

The Quality tools and processes have been organized around the following sub-headings for your easy reference: • What is it • When to use • How to construct • How to use / interpret
At the end you will find a Tool Application Chart, which summarizes the key features of all the tools for easy reference in your day to day application.
