You Never Have to Grow Up!
My grandma was a role model to me, she taught me “ to never grow up!” She never did grow to old age. Even when she was in the hospital on her deathbed. She always moved around with so much energy.
Whatever us kids wanted to do she was right along side us. Whether it was staying up all night watching movies, playing at the park, or even playing computer games. She was always there the whole time.
When she was texting her grandkids she texted like she was a teenager. When she was on her bed at the hospital after finding out that she had a brain tumor, just before she died, she was just a texting and calling away to everyone!!
I still remember when she would hold on to her back and say, “ I’m getting to old for this stuff guys.” Then we would all, even her, start laughing. She use to wake me up in the morning by rubbing my back. No matter how hard I tried I could never wake up before her. She wouldn’t let me.
I used to get laughed at because I would say that I wanted to go spend time with my grandma all the time. I didn’t care. She was never my, “ grandma,” she was always more of my friend than anything.
