Zen Zo In William Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

Zen Zen Zo a Brisbane based physical theatre company performed Shakespeare’s tragic love story ‘Romeo and Juliet’, directed by Steven Mitchell Wright. Zen Zen Zo made it edgy and innovative by having three actors and three chairs in a spacious room. The performance involved 3 teenage students Tom played by Rowan Davie, Kate played by Katrina Conwell and Peter played by Steven Mitchell wright, were studying Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in class. The company transformed the play into a more contemporary piece to give the audience a perception of Shakespeare’s play. The elements shown in Zen Zen Zo’s performance was the relationship, mood and place and space.
