13 Then Haggai, the Lord’s messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: ‘I am with you,’ declares the Lord. 14 So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God, 15 on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month.”
After saying all of this, I am now to my point. Many of us …show more content…
are lacking real fulfillment in our lives because we have not healed or been delivered from some of the various things I described above. In order for us to walk in God’s plan and purpose for our life, we have to be healed. We can apply Haggai 1:4 to our lives. “Is it time for you your selves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?”
Temple here can mean our bodies, mind and soul. Many of us are hurting on the inside but pretend in front of others as if things are alright. This hurt is keeping you from becoming all that God wants you to be. I know because I was you. While still going through my healing process, I was able to birth the book Facing Myself. God revealed to me that I could not and would not see all of his promises until I faced myself. For many of you facing yourself will come in many forms. Your issues may not be the same as mine but WE ALL HAVE ISSUES!
Stop pretending and shortchanging yourself. God will allow you to step into experiencing some of the promises but you will not receive full and complete package until you HEAL! When healing begins, building will begin and continue. Did God give us human bodies to use and abuse as we like, or does He expect more? How does He expect us to view and care for the marvelous bodies He designed?
There is a purpose behind everything God does, and the creation of the human body is no different. A major purpose in this life is to grow in the righteous character of God. Through His dwelling in us by the power of His Holy Spirit, we are helped in achieving that purpose in life that will enable us to live forever in His family.
The apostle Paul shed light on the purpose of the human body when he told the brethren in Corinth, “For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’ Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you’” (2 Corinthians 6:16-17 NKJV).
Paul explained that God will dwell in men by the power of His Spirit. If our bodies are to serve as a temple or dwelling place for the Holy Spirit, does God have specific expectations about how we treat and ?????
"Why does our loving God allow His people to go through times of deprivation?"
Haggai provides one key step in trying to figure out what God is doing when things get tough. He does not give us the total picture, but we need to start here in understanding how God sometimes works out His love in unexpected ways. You might be wondering how some ancient book could be relevant to your needs. You will be surprised how God can use the truths of Haggai to speak to your heart.
In these two short chapters, Haggai leads the Israelites into one of their most strategic steps forward in all of their history the rebuilding of the temple. In two short chapters, the Lord through Haggai tells them what their problem is, reveals the secret of their response and shows how God brought His favor back upon them.
If you are lacking in any area of your life, ask God to reveal the problem. When he reveals the problem know that God gives you a choice. You can either ask him to help you with the problem or you can continue ignoring the problem or try to fix it on your own and continue to suffer. Some of us use God like we use an addiction. A quick fix! We ask him to fix a situation and promise if you get me out this time, you finish the sentence. We all have done it! But there will come a time, like the movie “ENOUGH!” where God will pull his hand and let you fall flat on your face until you totally surrender to him. I know because it happened to me and various others in the Bible.
“Healing begins where the wound was made.” Alice Walker (The Way Forward Is with a Broken Heart)
Deal with it so he can heal you from it!
The longer you take to surrender the more time you waste living the life he has promised you!
I was watching a movie regarding a singer who battled with a drug addiction.
The addiction led to the loss of her marriage, rejection and career. The singer battled hurt and pain of losing her father. Her additions led her to hitting rock bottom. It wasn’t until she hit rock bottom that she had to face her worse demons and fears. She had to face herself. Like many others, we fail to seek and participate in professional help. Some of us are strong enough to allow God to do the purging and restoring. Others need more. They need a program and or professional services to assist them throughout the process.
Sometimes we have to go to a higher Power and Authority in order to obtain the assistance and become free to live the life that was created for us. We may fall 7 times, but as the song says, “We fall down, but we get up! We Fall Down, But we Get Up! For a saint is just a sinner who fell down”.
But if you snooze you loose. So what more do you have to lose. When you fall to the bottom GET HELP and get back up again! Our stories although we are the authors are not necessarily for us but to help others who battle and suffer from many of the same obstacles that hinder them from fulfilling their calling and purpose in
life.
Facing your calling is something that can take years to do. But it is necessary. Life is short. We are born into this world and then we die. Why continue to waste your life repeating the same lessons and not master the lessons. Answer the Call. Allow God to take you on a journey that your eyes have not seen nor ears have heard so that you can fulfill his promises for your life. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are. What does matter is that you answer the call. I often say, “You can do it willingly or unwillingly”. If I were you I would willingly answer. You will still have heartache and pain but the difference is you will fulfill the assignment, leave a legacy for others to continue and the results of your obedience will be greatly rewarded. It is my prayer that you take the information seriously. This book is not about me, it is to encourage you and assist you to walk that straight and narrow path and avoid alternative paths never finding rest, peace or prosperity. God wishes that we all prosper and be in good health. Remember he that has begun a good work in you shall perform it until the day of Christ Jesus, but you must answer the call and allow God to break you, shake, heal you and mold you to make you the earthly vessel he has predestined and ordained for you to be.
All roads lead to Rome
It’s a long and lonely walk but it is worthwhile and think about how many souls you have saved just from answering the call! Remember this life nor is your life about you, it’s about what God has assigned for you!
FACE YOURSELF AND ANSWER THE CALL!
