Zeus In Greek Mythology

In greek mythology, Zeus was the king of the gods, or the head honcho as some may call it. He was the god of the heavens, and weather. This gave him the power to shoot lightning and thunder when in battle. Zeus and his two brothers, Poseidon and Hades, were born from the Titans. But before they were born, Cronus, the king of the titans learned that his children were fated to dethrone him. Using this information, he had the great idea of swallowing the three gods immediately after birth. But Rhea, their mother, wrapped a stone in a blanket instead of Zeus, and hid him in a cave on the island of crete.
