House of Night Series – Marked

Zoey Redbird lived a typical life. She dealt with problems any typical teenager would deal with. But that was of course before she was Marked as a vampire fledgling.
Once you’ve been Marked, there’s no turning back, and 16-year-old Zoey has got no choice but to accept her new life.
Some people might think that being Marked is bad news. Even Zoey thought that it was bad news. But as soon as she started living as a vampire, she started to realize that Nyx (a goddess worshiped by all vampires and whom Zoey asks for help) actually did her a favor. Being Marked gave Zoey the chance to finally get away from her parents especially John Heffer, her step-father whom she hated from the very start.
When Zoey
has moved to the House of Night, she soon realized that she is no ordinary vampire fledgling. She was specially Marked by Nyx. That explains her “extraordinary” crescent moon on her forehead.
Nyx probably needs Zoey to do a quest. No. Not just a normal quest. A quest which will teach Zoey to look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny.
At first, I thought Marked wasn’t a good book, but when I started reading it, I realized I made a big mistake. The House of Night is truly an addicting series of books.
When I started reading the first page, I couldn’t stop. Each page always kept me questioned and interested. That’s probably why I couldn’t stop reading. There was always that something I couldn’t wait to find out.
The book is all about everything a teenager would go through- parents, friends, changes, and even romance.
I felt each and every emotion even though I was just reading a bunch of words and I was able to perfectly picture each scene like I’m actually living it.
The House of Night is different from all the other books I’ve read. This one’s got me addicted like crazy. It took me about 3 days to finish it and found myself wanting some more.
I’m on the third book (Chosen), and believe me; each book just keeps getting more intense and addictive.
