Zombieland Analysis

Zombieland was written in a way where as we move along in the movie, new information is revealed to the audience. The main protagonist of the story was also the narrator who was introduced at the beginning. He starts of telling us what had happened to everyone that lived in the United states. In the diagesis of the movie the entire country has been affected by a virus that turns into humans into zombies and there's no known cure for it. The narrator teaches the audience several ways to survive the zombie attack. He uses this same tactics as he tries to find a safe place. Along the way he meets another person who has also been untouched by the fast spreading virus. They decide not to introduce themselves and just identified each other by their destination (Columbus and Tallahassee). I believe this was a way to stay unattached from the individual because they were trying to survive. If anything happened to the other person it would not have to affect their will to survive because they would have had no emotional
Each one of them were people who actually had something income because until they meant each other they never actually had any friends. Columbus, the narrator is able to experience interaction with others and he starts to fall for Wichita as well. Although Wichita tried to be perceived as a girl who didn't need anyone, once she saw that she could trust Columbus and Tallahassee, she begins to open up to Columbus and even tells him her real name (Krista). Even Tallahassee who seemed like this really strong guy and was always ready to play hero had his own weakness. First, we see him express real emotion when his favorite celebrity Billy Madison dies and then he opens up about losing his son to the virus which at the beginning of the movie the narrator made the audience to believe he lost his dog
