Zoroastrianism: Oldest Religion In The World
Zoroastrianism is amongst the oldest religions in the world. The creator of this religion was Zoroaster. The Zoroastrianism believed Ahura Maza was their one true god. The scripture Gathas was recognized to be the workings of Zoroaster.
One of the beliefs and practices that I found most fascinating was their ritual of fire. “Fire represented Asha, the light of all that is good in the universe” (Stockdale, 2016). Zoroastrianism considered fire its central symbol, the crucial icon of a God who is also Light, Warmth, and Vitality. The comparison of Judaism and Christianity can be related based on their beliefs of good and evil and they only worshipped one god.
