About the Research
Research Problem:
• How does corruption affect the efficiency of our government in solving vital problems of our country?
Purpose of the Research:
▪ To determine the causes and effects of corruption
▪ To find out how the act of corruption affect the productivity of the government in terms of providing the primary needs of the citizens
▪ To suggest possible solutions and actions that should be taken as a student, as a media practitioner, and as a citizen of the country
Research Questions:
1. What is corruption?
2. What are the different types of corruption?
3. What are the effects of the act of corruption to the primary sectors of society?
4. Give significant cases of corruption by government officials done in past administrations.
5. What is the current standing of the Philippines among countries that are categorized as corrupt?

Corruption in Strong Sense
Corruption by Definition:
There had been a long history of corruption in the government of our country where it unfortunately and usually involved high ranking officials and lots and lots of money. Corruption is the abuse of public resources to enrich or give unfair advantage to individuals, their family or their friends. Likewise, it is also the abuse
