A burglary
A burglary One day, i was home alone as my parents attended a dinner function.I answered half-heartedly as I looked on wearily at the stack of homework i had lying on my table and i proceeded to the kitchen for a drink. “DaDaDa...”Out of the blue,I heard the strange sound of walking.Immediately,I looked up,startled by the sudden sound. To my astonishment,i saw a burly stranger, whose face was unshaven and blotchy, dragon tattoos on his body, creeping around my neighbour’s house. That was absurd that the man was pacing around in the night. As I found him suspicious,I continued to monitor his movements.Seeing the man crouching close to the bushes and casting furtive glances every few seconds as he made his way to the black door.I continued to watch him until he climbed over the fence and i realized that he was a burglary. Racking my brains as fast as i could and I decided to call the police and my neighbour, whose name was Peter. After calling them,I told them what I witnessed in a muffled frenzy. After a short while, the police were arrived at Peter’s house. The sirens of the police car reverberated through the air.I ran down towards them and told them the burglary was inside.Just then,he was fleeing from the house.I shouted,“It is him!”the policemen hurriedly ran to catch him. The burglary ran helter-skelter as he headed to the nearest exit. This proved to be a costly mistake for him as the police officers gave chase like a group of Olympic athletes. In no time, they had caught up with him and immediately cornered him to one side. After seeing he was caught,i ran into the house to check. When I entered,my eyes widened and my jaw dropped at the sight of the house. As Peter’s belongings were strewn away, the drawer and cupboard were opened and cleared of all the valuables. The robber had ransacked and rummaged his home. After he was back,I helped him to clean up all the messy and he appreciated to me for my help.In addition,he told the security to improve the security system and he wanted to be sure that such an unfortunate accident would never happen again. In the end, when I came back home and told my parents about how I had handled the situation, they were full of praise for me.

"When I pointed to him his palms slipped slightly, leaving greasy sweat steaks on the wall, and he hooked his thumbs in his belt. A strange small spasm shook him, as if he heard fingernails scrape slate, but as I gazed at him in wonder the tension slowly drained from his face. His lips parted into a timid smile, and our neighbour's image blurred with my sudden tears.…

I spotted the light flickering by the doorway in the entry hall, signaling that someone was at the door. Another poor innocent soul, soon to be murdered by General Zaroff. I stepped up to the large wooden door, grabbed my black, long-barreled revolver and turned the brass knob. I looked upon the visitor with great curiosity, as he was naked. The revolver was pointed at his beating heart. His eyes showed a slight glimmer of fear, yet he gave a reassuring smile. His mouth began to move and I could only make out two words. Robber and yacht...…

He thought for a moment and then replied, “Nothing, not a God damn thing.”…

Scarce research is available on active offenders due to their unwillingness to corporate with researchers and past and convicted offenders may have changed their perspectives after being convicted or left their lifestyle of crime. The most reliable data on these offenses and their perpetrators may come from active burglars themselves. Richard T. As I quietly sneaked out the back door of Monkey's house my heart began to beat a little faster and I felt somewhat anxious, but I kept on going toward Sarah's house. I remember walking in the thick, dark green St.Augustine grass in my aunt's yard that felt like cushioning under my Mary Jane shoes and looking carefully in every direction to make sure no one was watching me en route to my destination. As I approached Sarah's front yard I began to feel uneasy and a little afraid, but I kept my eyes on the prize and knew Sarah had gone to work. As I stepped on Sarah's lawn, my eyes darted back and forth to see if there were again any bystanders or cars coming down the street. The coast was clear so I nervously made my way through Sarah's front yard to the porch and walked up the front steps to the mailbox. I could see through the glass that the mailbox was stuffed with different sized envelopes with typed letters of the alphabet on them. I stretched forth my hand and gently opened the lid so it would not squeak any more than possible. With my other hand I picked up the envelopes decorated with important writing and carefully removed them from the glass mailbox. As I turned around, again my eyes quickly grazed the landscape to see if anyone had spotted me. I then ran down the front porch steps, through Sarah's front yard, back into Monkey's yard, and made my way to…
