A Complacent Society in Peril: The Current U.S. Economic Dangers and Dismissive Americans
Introduction
The U.S. economy is headed for a train wreck and its citizens are blissfully unaware. Prior to the economic crash of 2008, society had grown complacent and lethargic concerning the many warnings of what was looming. Those who attempted to warn others back in 2007 that the U.S. stock market was in for a big decline, due to the declining housing market, were mostly ignored. People will seldom hear the truth being reported in the mainstream news, as the media itself is very adept at lulling us into a deep asleep. Today, the U.S has drifted into that same complacent and lethargic spirit concerning the warnings that are so resounding about a coming global economic collapse, as well as willfully dismissing and minimizing many other global forebodings.
Body: Topic 1
The collapsing European economy provides a warning about what will happen to the U.S. economy. The situation there is dire, but very few care or even know the ramifications that a collapse in Europe will have on the U.S. economy. It has been stated by financial experts that the crisis today in Europe is far more serious than the crash of 2008, and the impact on the U.S. dollar will be catastrophic.
