The paper touches in the top concerns of citizens by mentioning and explaining specific points of the offensive set forth by the government. Explanations of tyranny by use of regulations, out of control spending, executive privilege, and taxation. With a overwhelming regulatory environment, sixteen (16) trillion dollars in federal debt, and overrides of the Constitution, creates a non-freedom friendly environment.
A DECLARATION: FREEDOM AND THE RIGHTS OF MAN 3
A Declaration: Freedom and the Rights of Man In the course of history, it occasionally becomes necessary to dissolve one’s democratic ties to another. Governments are established by citizens, to protect the rights of man from the disastrous reign of tyranny. Throughout time, tyrants, thieves of the rights of nature and man, and pirates of God’s will, have relinquished the civil liberties of their citizens. Tyranny becoming absolved by others is not without consequence of apology and the vindication of the autocratic acts committed by one on another. When such events occur, men create new governments, in place of old, and start anew in the hopes of greater welfare for fellow man. Self-evident truths, as stated in the document from which this document is derived (The Declaration of Independence), entrusts man with the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness from his Creator. Presently, the government of the United States and its President aspire to transcend their roles to uphold the Constitution, by instead rewriting it, in the assurance of felicity for citizens. Such heinous acts renders the Constitution debilitated as the supreme law of the land. Thus, warranted acts for the change of structure and power are a reality.
Grievances
The United States and its government is not a complete failure in structure, but is corrupt from within. The government bureaucrats and politicians have given into the corruption of bribery, lobbyist legislation, advantageous policy in domestic and foreign affairs that led to their betterment. This nearsightedness, caused by such corruption, has resulted in the incessant inability of the Congress and the President to solve the paramount issues at hand. The government of the United States continually limits the rights and extends its power granted in the Constitution. The most noteworthy of the exaggeration of hegemony are executive privilege,
A DECLARATION: FREEDOM AND THE RIGHTS OF MAN 4 regulations, uncontrollable spending, and taxation.
Executive Privilege The use of executive powers by the President is a prime example of the exaggeration of power. President Barack Obama signed 147 executive orders since taking the office, but this use of executive privilege is not just a new concept (Presidential Executive Orders). President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush used executive orders during their respective administrations, a combined, 655 times (Presidential Executive Orders). Executive privilege is controversial, most strict constitutionalists believe that the Constitution grants no such power, while those who have set in the oval office claim such power is vital to the presidency. The controversy stems form some of the power exercised when an executive order is issued. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed executive order 9066 which discriminated against Japanese Americans. This led to years of discrimination for this group for years. Other controversial orders were made by President George W. Bush to combat terrorism after 9/11 (HowStuffWorks). But, the most recent outrage against executive orders are President Obama 's signature attached to orders such as the closure of Guantanamo Bay (which failed), the suspension of interrogation methods, such as waterboarding, and the bypass of Congress for the implement of agenda and policy (HowStuffWorks). The executive orders of the current and previous administrations have fueled the controversial fire of society.
Regulations
The U.S. Government continually adds cumbersome regulations the hinder growth of American industry and business. This government “red tape” is believed by some “career politicians” that regulations actually create jobs because companies must hire people to decipher
A DECLARATION: FREEDOM AND THE RIGHTS OF MAN 5 and be sure businesses are within the laws, regulations, and codes. But, in actuality, jobs created cannot measure up to the reductions in jobs that these regulations cause. Businesses become overwhelmed from the restrictions that hinder their efforts to expand and add jobs to the workforce. In the first three years of the Obama administration, the U.S. Government has added 106 major regulations, and exceeding forty-six (46) billion additional dollars in federal spending upon the American taxpayer (The Heritage Foundation). This statistics also do not include the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank), or the countless regulations set forth by the EPA, which hinder the American small businessperson on a daily basis (The Heritage Foundation). The regulatory environment of the American economy contain ill-minded and hazardous ramifications at the expense of American consumers. Banks, due the government-controlled transaction fees, canceled rewards programs as consequence of the increased expenses. And, it 's not only fiscal and economic issues that are dictated by strict government regulations, social issues are controlled in a similar fashion. The most recent and relevant uproar is a ban of assault rifles due to the the recent mass shootings that have occurred. It is restrictions like these, in defiance of the constitutional rights of Americans, that clearly explain the autocratic society if America.
Uncontrollable Spending The most prevalent problem against the U.S. and its government is the rampant spending which has superseded sixteen (16) trillion dollars in federal debt. Economic security is fragile when large debts are consumed by governments, thus politicians believe more spending is a solution. But, as common sense dictates, it is impossible to spend to the path of prosperity. The federal debt has recently surpassed the nation 's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) (The Heritage

Foundation). The last time this occurred was during the FDR administration and the greatest economic depression in the nation 's history (The Heritage Foundation). This radical spending spree of the government is not a secure choice for the future of the nation. Due to the drastic situation and economic hardship, the nation 's credit rating has been reduced from “AAA” to “AA” for the first time in the nation 's history. Also, as result of “quantitative easing” (QE), insurmountable inflation occurred that crippled the American economy (The Heritage Foundation). The government must operate like the typical American household, where budgets are made and kept, and money cannot be spent that is not in the “pocketbook.”
Taxation
It is said that the only two certainties in life are death and taxes. The same is definitely true Americans. The rates of income taxes are set to raise on those making $450,000 per year and hurts the economy in the process. Most upper-class Americans are chalked full of job-creators, entrepreneurs, and businesspeople, and when their taxes raise less money is available for the expansion and growth of industry. The center-point of the problem is the spending the was talked about previously.
Conclusion
Tyranny... That is the definition of the U.S. government. Democrats and Republicans alike are to blame for the travesty that is government. Incessant partisanship, and failure of leadership have vacated the American people of the rights and created the autocratic that is to no ones benefit. Americans have an elected government that has sworn to uphold the Constitution and work for the benefit of the American public. Reality, unfortunately, is the exact opposite of the previous statement. Americans ', everyday, are faced with the harsh reality that totalitarian
A DECLARATION: FREEDOM AND THE RIGHTS OF MAN 7 society is the U.S. government. Politicians, believing they are above the law, must be brought to justice for the crimes committed against the America 's citizens. And, the solution is not incapable of being achieved, Americans must come together and say “enough” with the argument and rhetoric that continually comes out of Washington. The public must stand together, eliminate the rhetorical, sophomoric politicians, and bolster the competent, efficient lawmakers. Together American can reverse the ill-gotten tides of politics to rejuvenate and restore the American Republic the public knows and adores.

The American Constitution is far from “a beacon on the hill” because it has significant flaws; features such as its rigidity means that it is extremely hard to amend when necessary and The Constitution’s ambiguity enables krytocracy to exist. Its underlying principles of democracy, equality and freedom are admirable particularly when it was created in the late seventeen hundreds and there are many strengths that remain in the constitution e.g. The Bill of Rights. However whilst historically it would be seen as a “beacon on the hill” it does not seem to remain a valid assessment of it in modern society, as much of the context is dated or inflexible.…

Executive orders have been a controversial topic for the last couple of centuries. They started out as an instruction to the heads of departments, so that matters and issues would be laid out pertaining to each department. George Washington issued the first Executive Order on January 22, 1793, and it stated “That the several Counties of the said District originally & heretofore contained within the first, second & third Surveys shall be henceforth allotted into & contained in two Surveys.” In order to go into detail, the term executive order must be defined. An executive order is “A rule or order issued by the president to an executive branch of the government and having the force of law.” Executive orders have been implemented more over the last century. There are numerous reasons for creating them, such as national security and desegregation. It was not until 1936 that the executive orders were numbered; this was a result of the Federal Register Act.…
