What Was the Munich Beer Hall Putsch?
The Munich Beer Hall Putsch was an event that took place in 1923. The march on Munich was one of the first events where Adolf Hitler took power over Germany because he thought he had advantage over them since Germany was weak after the reparations they had to pay back to the allies from World War 1. Hitler marched on Munich because he wanted to take advantage of the crisis that the Weimar Republic was facing at the time. During the 1920’s the Weimar Republic was collapsing and was on it’s knees as much as Germany was at the end of World War 1. Therefore, since the Weimar Republic was weak and not as strong as before Hitler believed that he could investigate a new revolution in Munich. However, this attempt to rebel on Munich was a failure because it was poorly planned well and subsequently ended in the imprisonment of Adolf Hitler.
Hitler couldn’t march and start a revolution on Munich by himself because that would be way to easy for the police o discover what he was doing and to arrest him. Therefore, Hitler organized a large group of unemployed men and former soldiers of World War 1 in which were called the Storm troopers (A.K.A: SA). The Storm Troopers ambushed and attacked Political Groups. Hitler was hoping with these new Storm Troopers and where the Nazi Party was stronger than ever, he could start a new revolution on Munich. Besides the help of 3,000 troops he also collaborated with two Bavarian Nationalist Politicians named Kahr and Lossow to help him rebel on Munich. Hitler had collected and gathered all of his Storm Troopers and repeatedly told all of them to prepare for battle. However, these were very strong men and they told Hitler of he kept them waiting then they would sneak away and never come back.
