For many Parents are like shelter for their children, they work hard to provide food, clothes, Shelter and other necessities of life to their children and try their level best to up bring their off spring.
Although mother and father both play their role to growing up their children but both of have their own responsibilities. In some families situations father is the one who take cares of all financial matters and mother look after children in home and train them morally and spiritually a child’s basic education.
As mother spend most of the time looking after children and basic education of a child, like moral values and habits can be seen in the shape of mother’s training, whereas father has to stay out of home for longer and it is seen that children are more closer to their mothers than fathers but it's not the evaluation of a father’s love. A father sacrifices his comfort and struggle to fulfill the necessities of children and look after the financial matters that shows off his love for his children but this is not obvious in all the cases too, means in this modern era we have seen both parents working and looking after their children together or as apart.
In my perception there is no scale to find that who loves more, a father or a mother. For me both of them are loving and caring. But as far as the children’s point of view matters obviously children are going to love and feel more closer who is going to stay with them for long either father or mother but the importance of parental pair can't be avoided and measured.
To cut the long story in short we can say that parents are like kite and thread if thread is broken how the kite can fly in the air. Likewise for children both of them are important and necessary they love them openly or hidden.
