A Fully Automated Real Time Monitoring System
ABSTRACT

The system is entitled Radio Frequency- Based Identification System. This study focused on the development and implementation of an automated identification system for school based. This study aimed to document the deigned including the input, process and output of the system and evaluates the performance of the design in terms of efficiency, durability, accuracy and sensitivity. The evaluation of the acceptability level of the designed project was also focused in this study, in terms of functionality and suitability, package design, cost effectiveness and the operation procedure and was evaluated. The design project made use of descriptive research deign in gathering all the necessary information. Descriptive- evaluation design was also used in order to determine the performance of the design. The participants were experts in the field of computer and electronics. The block diagrams and circuit diagrams were tools used for analyzing data. The study revealed the findings of the design; a prototype was developed for the Radio Frequency- Based Identification System and documented. The result of the performance evaluation that was evaluates by the chosen experts was rated based on the presentation during the evaluation. Base on the market price the total cost of the materials used in constructing the design will only cost 6, 185.00. Interfacing new features and application for enhancement is applicable. The operator’s manual will help and guide the user to use the system.

The study was concluded based on the findings that were revealed on the study. The recommendation was given by the researcher for the enhancement of the application of the design project.

Radio frequency identification has been said to go as far back as World War II. Countries were using it for tracking planes and other means of transportation by radar. The major super powers of World War II such as America, Japan, and Germany, all had been using this technology. Germany was the first to discover that the sound wave would change depending on how their pilots came back to base. This helped them determine whether enemies or their own pilots were coming into their territory. (Roberti) From this, scientists kept progressing with different types of radiofrequency…

Radio Frequency Identification is the process of identifying a person or an object or a thing using the RF-transmitted identification code. Over the years, the technology has played a vital role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of health care systems. Today the health care systems are using a wide range of RFID applications to enhance the overall performance of their industry. A few applications include; RFID tracking system, RFID bracelets, RFID under the skin, RFID for patient management system and RFID for resource management system (Banks, 2007).…

Major process improvements for pallet-level implementations are derived from basic RFID functionality. The major functional difference between barcodes and RFID tags is that RFID tags do not require a direct line of sight for scanning and processing. This translates to major process automation where ever the process requires scanning: “scan barcode on pallet”, “scan storage barcode to verify location”, “forklift driver scans barcode on pallet”, etc. Whenever a pallet comes within read range of an RFID reader, the scanning automatically takes places, so an employee doesn’t have to physically locate and scan the tag (See Exhibit 3).…

As a major company supplying to large home improvement stores such as Home Depot, and Lowe’s, I believe that for efficiency, accuracy, availability, and most importantly; profit, we should adopt to the Radio Frequency Identification system, a/k/a RFID. With technology improving in our everyday live, we should take advantage and utilize it for our business needs. The paper and clipboard method seems to be inefficient, and less accurate in terms of recording and reporting inventory that is incoming or outgoing. With RFID, the benefits are great and are many, but I will only list the main ones; we can be sure that we save man time, have real-life access to our inventory, a more accurate cycle count of our inventory, and most importantly, an accurate amount of count that is leaving our inventory. There are also many factors that should be considered before adapting this RFID technology system into our company, such as; System costs, Software, One size fit all system.…

Monitoring is the systematic collection and analysis of information as a project progress. It is aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of a project or organization. It is based on targets set and activities planned during the planning phases of work. It helps to keep the works on track and can let management know when things are going wrong. If done properly, it is an invaluable tool for good management, and it provides a useful base of evaluation. It enables in determining whether the available resources are sufficient and are being well used, whether the capacity is sufficient and appropriate and whether doing the planned to do. Under monitoring we look at the process on organization could go through to design a monitoring system (Shapiro, 2008).…
