Genghis Khan book outline
1. Genghis Khan brought forth the great Mongol empire from groups of steppe nomads in
Mongolia in CE because he wanted to ensure that his family would not get attacked by outsiders again. 2. The question is what role did Genghis Khan play in the shaping of the modern world. In this book we are trying to figure out how big Genghis Khan's part was. The author asks was Genghis khan the horrible conqueror we thought he was or was he just an advanced leader that pushed us to where we are today.
3. The historian approaches this problem through the eyes of The Great Khan himself to better explain what he was truly doing. The author uses evidence from the sacred text of the Mongols history and Genghis's sacred homeland to decipher this mystery. He uses evidence to back up his claims, which he does very well.
4. The author asks how big was Genghis Khan's part in the shaping of the modern world. He approaches the problem from an economic and political perspective. Economically Genghis
Khan introduced to other regions a new version of the banking system. Politically Genghis Kahn introduced new effective war tactics and the use of gunpowder as a weapon.
5. The author uses race to analyze the problem by showing that Khan effectively brought together many different races under his rule and made them all work together and act as one people. This is a bottomup approach because Genghis khan treated each race as equals and demanded that all others under his rule to do so as well bringing the different peoples closer together as one.
6. The historians answer is that Genghis Khan played one of the biggest parts in our development in the modern world. He introduced banking systems, a postal service, military organization, military tactics, new and improved trading, and a set of laws that effectively works.
