HOW TO WRITE A GOOD RESEARCH PROPOSAL?

What actually is a research proposal?
A research proposal is the frame of the idea which a scholar wishes to pursue. A good research proposal presumes that the scholar has devoted his time and descent efforts in gathering information about the field, reading and has organized his thoughts about it.

What are the main component and characteristics of a good research proposal?

1. Good ideas should be presented. 2. The ideas must be well presented. 3. You should present yourself as a competent researcher.

It is very important to present your ideas clearly and concisely . Easy to understand the flow and the linkages between the issue, problem, concept, theory , methodology and analysis.
So, you should give enough time and effort in writing research proposals.

For a general research proposal the following important items should be included:
a) b) c) d) e) f) g) The title page (Name in full, affiliation/address, contact number, etc.) Introduction (A section on preliminary result to support your proposed research (if related) Rationale and significance of the proposed research Research methodology Result expected References. Limitation of study.

Development of a Proposal (How to start)

1. Chose a title
a) Define a general area of interest. b) Identify a specific topic. c) Checking journals for recent articles (or textbook and other books)- to get a preliminary idea of the main areas of study

d) Browse the last two years or so of the main journals in your area.
(You should find a relevant article in these journals)

The Title (the criteria) • The title should precisely state the subject of the research. It is very important to capture the interest of the reader.
