A Life Worth Knowing
Some people do extraordinary things to help to make their lives, a life worth knowing. They could be a humanitarian, soldiers, firefighters, donate money to charity, and or they just generally are an amazing person & much more. Someone who has a life worth knowing is basically hero/heroine and a leader combined. A hero is a person, who is admired for courage or noble qualities & a leader is a person followed by others. I choose Ellen DeGeneres because I believe Ellen is a life worth knowing. Ellen Lee DeGeneres was born January 26, 1958 in her life so far she has done so much to help out people, the environment & animals. When people think of her they just think that she has a television show, she’s a comedian or that she’s gay. Not many people know of all the things she does to help people, the environment & animals. Ellen is inspirational, donates to charity, she has won a humanitarian award, she does comedy on her show because she wants to make people laugh so they can just forget about everything else they are going through at the moment & loves to make people feel better about their selves. Ellen Supports the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bi, transgender, & queer) & many other charities. Ellen has won twenty-five plus Emmy’s and a lot other awards for her charitable donations and efforts.
In my opinion I believe she is inspirational because In 1994 Ellen came out on national television this was an amazing thing she did because LGBTQ’s were not accepted & her being a celebrity showed her fans & everyone watching that it’s okay to come out. When she came out it was an act of bravery because she knew she was going to get hate and judged but it didn’t matter to her. She won women of the year in 2009 by PETA(Biography Today pg 113) When she was younger she wanted to be a vegetarian to help animals but instead she donates a lot to help animals in shelters and abused animals. Ellen is involved in over thirty charities. Since she
