Freniel Mikko Austria is the present feature writer of the MARIAN, the official student publication of Saint Mary’s University Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
For me, the feature story Healing the Scars at the Seams is a very genius output of the author because on the title itself readers would show interest and give time to read it. On the other hand, I guess that we cannot get the deeper meaning of the story on its title because the meaning of it lies on the content of the story.
As I read the story I was so impressed by the author because of his style of presenting the main character of the story and the story itself. I thought that Austria want to tell as that no matter how difficult our life is, no matter how full of negativities it is, we should remain strong and our faith should not be lost rather, we should get closer to God and ask for His guidance.
The thoughts in life of the main character were shown as he presented her. The second, fifth and the seventh part of the story shows the character characteristics. For being a strong woman despite the difficulties of life that hold her, to her trust to God, her hope and faith that never flew away and her determination also to fulfill her dreams. I guess that the lady in the story gained her strength from her family and from God.
As a final view on the master piece, I can say that the character in the story views on the world is very accurate because she surrounds herself with positive people with positive thoughts and she believed that life is nothing without negativities and sufferings. Despite the difficulties she experienced most especially the most tragic event in her life she remained strong and full of courage to continue her journey.
