Youtube Paper: Avenged Sevenfold’s “A Little Piece of Heaven” Avenged Sevenfold’s ballad “A Little Piece of Heaven” is one of the most shocking and visual stories made out in a song ever. The video is a very violent and gory animated creation, which directly follows the story said in the lyrics. The video is supposed to be very animated and dramatic. This appeals to the audience because it is a highly disturbing love story, which no average person could imagine happening in their life. The music video has been said to be one of the most inspiring pieces of art of the 21st century. The song is about a couple that was in love. The man in the relationship decided that he would ask her to marry him. The woman, however, declined his hand in marriage. So in spite of her actions he decided to kill her by stabbing her fifty times and ripping her heart out. At this point in the video we learn that the man is a psycho killer and a necrophile. The disturbing video images at this point in the video draw the watcher in because of the pure and utter shock of the situation. The video really brings to life the fearful feeling in people, and people are almost forced to see the story to the end. The man dances, has meals with, and even has sex with her corpse, while the lyrics beating in the background, “She was never this good in bed, even when she was sleeping ,now she's just so perfect, I've never been quite so fucking deep in.” This is the most controversial lyric of the song. It explicitly describes this man’s sex life with a dead woman. This impacts people’s morals, because it is so wrong morally. The video then cuts to the chorus which is a beautiful, dark, and melodic tune. The lyrics of the chorus are supposed to be quite humorous. “Because I always really knew that my little crime would be cold, that’s why I got a heater for your thighs, and I know it’s not your time, but bye bye.” These lyrics are humorous because buying a heater for
