It was back on August 24, 1995 at 9; 07 am when I brought into this world by Maria White-Dumas and Stanley. Their first born child then a minute later my twin popped out. Since that day I have been here in Atlanta, GA where I reside at 1978 Phillips Drive. There on my parents have made two additions to our family; my 15 year old brother Jahmal and my 12 year old brother Chris. I can honestly say my family is the greatest thing in the world. My mom is a Purchasing Agent for United Distributors, and my dad is an ISS teacher at King Middle School and South Atlanta High School’s Head Baseball and Softball coach. And with a family of all boys and crazy different personalities I have much respect for my parents for continuing to love us and put up with us. Then you have to move on……

April 7th, 1999 is when I was born on Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. I only lived there for two weeks after I was born. While we were in South Dakota my parents had bought my cat Sadie. She is actually still alive to this day! My mom had told me that the night I was born the doctor had an emergency Cholecystectomy and came to check on us the next day wearing a gown and pushing his own IV poll. After living in South Dakota for a couple of weeks, we then moved to Indiana. We only lived there for a year and then moved to Missouri. I do not remember anything about living at those two places because I was only about a year and a half old. We only stayed in Missouri for a month then we moved to Illinois where my parents family lived, and also because my grandma was diagnosed with breast…

It was almost 5am on July 17, 1996, when I was rushed to the hospital. I was balled up in the back seat of my mother in laws car, biting down on a towel because the pain was so unbearable. I heard him say “it’s ok baby… ” just as another jolt of pain came. As his voice faded I could feel him rubbing my back, and I tried my best to listen to his voice and forget the pain. It was impossible though, the baby was coming and there was no turning back now.…

We were so happy, I started explaining to her where we were, how the place looked like and that there was a big garbage can, as I explain tears dripped from my eyes. We hugged each other, cried, and stayed put right next to the garbage can. We finally saw my mother’s silver BMW car. We slowly walked towards the car, making sure that it was my mother or one of our parents are in there. I then saw my mother did something with her hand, I know what that meant to hurry up, I told my little cousins to hurry up and get in the car, we ran as fast as we could towards the car and got in. When I was six years old my baby brother Manuel was born. When my parents came home from the hospital they seemed worried and anxious which seemed strange to me since they had been excited to introduce us to my other brother a few years before. When I asked my mom what was wrong she told me that my little brother was diffrent from other babies. When I asked her why she said he was just born that way. So my sister and I walked towards the crib and peaked in expecting him to look diffrent, maybe he had 11 fingers instead of ten? But he looked like a baby so I didn't understand what my mom ment when she said he was diffrent.…

My grandma told me that if they worsened, she would take me to the hospital. Shortly thereafter about 5 minutes later, the contractions worsened and my cousin picked us up to go to the hospital. I was already dilated to 5 centimeters when I was admitted. The doctor gave me an epidural which really helped, but I was so afraid to birth naturally that the doctors gave me an emergency c-section. I was awake during the delivery and remember that when they cut me open it felt really weird and numb. When my baby was born he looked like his dad. Dray came to the hospital, he was so happy as was my family. Soon after, I kicked everyone out so I could get some rest. I named my son, Tyrinn.…

I went to the doctor that day, because I had been having some problems. I was exhausted and nauseated all the time, and I just didn’t feel normal.
